What is your experience with kids?

I work in an NGO as a volunteer teacher. Every Saturday I teach 40 children from 4 to 7 years old. I took care of my cousin sometimes. And I also have two siblings, that I helped my mother take care of.

What are you going to do there?

I will do the Au pair program.

How long will you stay there?

1 year

Because I will do the Au pair program.

Tell me about your host family

My HM is called Rebecca, she teachs in a hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy program at a University in Ohio, my HD is called Wes, he is an operations manager for a construction supply company. They have two children, Alannah is 7 years old and Dakota is 5.

Why do you want to be an au pair?

Because I like being with kids, I have a lot of experience doing that, but I also want to know a new culture and travel.

What are you going to do when you return?

Start my MBA and apply for a job at Nubank, now that I speak fluent English. I also think having an exchange program in my resume when I return will be very good.

Do you talk often with your family?

I talk to the host mom and the host dad twice a week on whats app and once a month through video with the kids.

Who is paying the Exchange?

The agency APIA and host-family.
