it was deemed by me elders that I should go to "special" school

My childhood I was plagued with the nation that I was an "invalid".

They do that to mock a person with learning disability

I split myself off from the idea of a disabled identity.

Patted on the head and patronized, occasionally spat at, ecpecially once I became a weelchair user.

"People with disability" is the pharse ofen used by those who understandably want their humanity to be seen first, who don't want to by condemned by their impairment.

That put my in the company of some fine comrades and allies sharing a fight to dismantle the disability society.

I attempt to influence the forthcoming generations.
